Steven Spielberg Filmmaking Technique

Steven Spielberg uses a technique to introduce a character, the technique is showing parts of his body doing actions. Like the legs of Indiana Jones or the hands of Oscar Schindler.

Why does he do this?,
Because it will add drama to the character without even know who he is.

It’s the same idea for Oscar Schindler.

Crossfade Film Technique

Crossfade is gradual increase or decrease of volume level of a sound. It is used in filmmaking to make invisible the audio change between scenes.

City of God example.

End of the Scene, Little Ze is laughing and begins to
being heard the song Get up of James Brown.
We hear the “One, two, three,…

“four, ……………., get up ah, “
The song continues in this scene.

Below there is a video that showcased the Crossfade Technique
